Screen Golf in Korea

Golf, the rich man’s sport, is definitely for wealthy people in Korea. To play a 9-holf golf course in Korea costs about $100, plus the club membership. But, there is an alternative that exists on every block, screen golf. It sounds like it would be like the Nintendo Wii, but it’s much better. Not only does it sensor your speed, but you actually use a real golf club and golf ball. You can choose to be in Malibu or Florida. You can choose to keep score as ladies or men. The options are endless. But one thing that is hard to find is a left-handed simulation golf set up. Unfortunately, Randy is a left-handed sports player and couldn’t even find left-handed golf clubs. However, he played with his right hand. Korean’s play screen golf because it’s cheaper than the real thing as well as the driving range and they play to get better at golf. But for foreigners who aren’t so great at golf and who definitely can’t afford to play on a real course, it’s something different than the same usual things and it’s a great way to spend a rainy afternoon.
